There’s no better way to get company recognition than through entertainment and games. Sweepstakes are a great way for companies to increase their reach, generate interest in their brand, and drum up interest with contests. I used to win prizes from completing online sweepstakes all the time. However, things like raising kids, working and other events got in the way, but I still wish I had kept up with them.
Let me share my experience in completing sweeps. Hopefully you will be a winner too!
First of all, be consistent. When I did win online sweeps, I was playing at least 3 to 4 times a week. Instead of having to constantly type your name and information, get Robo Form. RoboForm is an application that enables you to autofill your personal information including passwords. This comes in handy when you are trying to do several sweepstakes. Secondly, play often. There are different types of Sweeps. Some are one time submission, daily, bi-weekly etc. The one time is easy because you can fill out the forms and be done with it. Daily can be a challenge, but it’s important to complete at least 3-4 times a week. I often would multitask by watching TV, talking, or doing other online things when I would fill it out. Using Robform is a plus because it fills out your basic information.
Thirdly, use a reputable website. There are a lot of fake-looking websites that you need to be careful about.
When I used to enter sweepstakes, the main site I used was Sweepstakestoday.com. It is very organized. In addition, the owner does the research and gives detailed information about the type of contests available. One of the things I love about this site is the comment section- it can come in handy when you enter a contest and need a special code. Here’s my video with more details about this site.
USE a separate email!
Sweepstakes are fun, but it can be tiring to receive a constant stream of promotional mail from the companies.
Nonetheless, using a separate email and then unsubscribe later on is the best way to handle unwanted emails. I’m normally not deleting them until it’s over.
Verification
A lot of sweepstakes winnings may take a long time and contestants don’t know when the win notification will come, so it can be hard to keep track on what you entered. There are also contests that can sometimes last for months before they close. If you are contacted that you are a winner, check the search bar on Sweepstakes Online to see if you entered that particular one.

Stick with companies that you know or with a website that does the searching for you. Most of the prizes I won were through Sweepstakestoday or well-known companies. For instance, If Kraft offers one on their site, I would enter it.
